Job Description

AFRY is looking for a Junior Project Manager Renewables and Energy Storage to support our client's BESS and/or wind projects in any stage of development, from feasibility to commercial operation. You will be part of the Renewables & Energy Storage team of AFRY Netherlands, located in the Utrecht office.

Responsibilities will include

  • Supporting AFRY colleagues globally in delivering our renewable and energy storage services; such as providing development support, tendering and contracting services, technical due diligence, technical advisory, construction supervision, etc.;
  • Assisting in evaluating the potential of battery storage systems for a project, considering factors like energy demand, grid integration and cost effectiveness;
  • Helping senior colleagues in NL in the acquisition of new projects;
  • Performing technical studies such as energy yield assessments;
  • Developing tools, templates and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications

Role requirements

  • A university degree in e.g. Sustainable Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering, Innovation Sciences, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years' experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and/or Onshore Renewables and/or Grid Connections.
  • Strong affinity with renewable energy, current developments and the ambition to increase your knowledge/experience within the energy market.
  • Ambition to share your knowledge and take an active role in AFRY projects.
  • Fluent in English and being fluent in Dutch is preferable.
  • Experience with Python and/or CAD is a plus.

Your profile

  • You can work independently and have an eye for the interests of our clients;
