About the role

Project Manager - 12 month plus max term opportunity

In this Adelaide-based Project Manager role, you'll be responsible for delivering Sustainable Business Energy Solutions (SBES) projects from the point of sale through to customer handover, ensuring strong commercial outcomes for AGL and an exceptional customer experience.

You'll lead the end-to-end delivery of commercial solar and battery storage projects, overseeing scope, budget, schedule, safety and quality performance. Working closely with Project Engineers, contractors and Sales teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards while maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager already operating in a similar delivery environment who is looking to apply their expertise to complex renewable energy projects and play a key role in Australia's energy transition.

About You

We're seeking a proven Project Manager who is already delivering projects in a similar environment, ideally within construction, electrical, renewable energy, building services, infrastructure or industrial project delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end project delivery, including budget control, scheduling, contractor management, stakeholder engagement and project governance.
  • Strong construction or infrastructure project delivery background, with experience coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers and stakeholders in fast-paced delivery environments highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to independently lead projects through all phases of delivery, from planning and mobilisation through to commissioning, handover and project close-out.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing project risks, variations, procurement activities, budgets and customer outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, contractors, consultants and internal teams.
  • A strong commitment to safety leadership, quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline are desirable.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience delivering commercial and industrial solar, battery storage, electrical, construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working for a principal contractor, EPC, construction company, electrical contractor or renewable energy provider.
  • Knowledge of PV systems, CEC requirements, rooftop solar installations and associated regulations.
  • Experience using project delivery platforms such as NetSuite, Procore, Microsoft 365 and related project management systems.

Why Join Us?

  • Deliver projects that directly contribute to Australia's renewable energy future.
  • Join a high-performing team of project, engineering and energy professionals.
  • Apply your existing project management expertise in a role with genuine ownership, autonomy and career growth opportunities.

This wording clearly signals that you're looking for someone already performing in a comparable Project Manager role, while making a construction, infrastructure, electrical or renewable energy background a key differentiator.
