As part of Boralex's continued growth in the United Kingdom, we are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to support the development of our renewable energy portfolio, including wind, solar and battery energy storage projects.

Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will lead and coordinate community engagement and consultation activities throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will help strengthen stakeholder relationships, support successful planning outcomes and reinforce Boralex's reputation as a trusted renewable energy developer.

⚡ You will play an important role in

  • Developing and implementing community engagement and consultation strategies tailored to project requirements, planning milestones and stakeholder expectations.
  • Planning and delivering consultation activities, including public exhibitions, stakeholder meetings, community briefings and engagement campaigns, while ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Working closely with Project Managers to integrate project objectives and stakeholder feedback into engagement plans and consultation activities.
  • Supporting Boralex's broader communication and community engagement initiatives, coordinating external agencies and contributing to the continuous improvement of engagement practices across the UK portfolio.

💡 To succeed in this position, you need

  • A degree in Communications, Planning, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Stakeholder Engagement or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience delivering community and stakeholder engagement activities within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, planning or major project environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, facilitate dialogue and manage public feedback professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, combined with a proactive approach, strong written communication abilities and a valid UK driving licence.
