Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager. This new Senior Professional role is being created to support the Voltage Regulator business's strategic objective of extending customer reach within North America. The position will operate within the Offer Management team to increase direct customer engagement and deepen the understanding of market needs. To achieve this, the role is structured around two primary areas: Strategic Customer & Market Development and Sales & Relationship Management. These functions are designed to systematically identify new growth opportunities, build a robust sales pipeline, and establish strong, long-term customer partnerships. Given the focus on technical sales and strategic growth, the ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in business development, preferably with experience in the energy or electrical equipment sector. They must be capable of working independently to manage complex projects and sales cycles, consistent with the expectations for a Senior Professional.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, EPCs, and industry influencers to generate and develop new business opportunities.
  • Managing the full business development lifecycle, from initial engagement and lead qualification through negotiation and closing of strategic agreements.
  • Collaborating closely with technical sales, offer management, and project management teams to deliver a coordinated and effective customer approach.
  • Maintaining an accurate and robust sales pipeline while providing regular forecasts and updates through the designated CRM system.
  • Conducting market and customer research to identify new segments, applications, and channel opportunities for voltage regulator solutions in North America.
  • Developing compelling value propositions and identifying strategic partnerships by analyzing customer needs, competitor activity, and industry trends to support Siemens Energy's commercial and product strategies.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5 or more years of experience in business development, technical sales, or account management within the energy, power distribution, or heavy electrical equipment industry. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Voltage regulator and/or transformer experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex sales cycles, strategic accounts, and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Proven strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research, develop value propositions, and analyze sales performance.

Travel, as needed (50%), mostly domestically.
