Job Description
Join our Transmission Service Business as a Project Engineer, where you will play a vital role in supporting projects and internal operations across the UK & IE hub. This position involves both onshore and offshore projects, working with a diverse range of blue-chip international clients in the Power Transmission, Distribution, and Generation sectors. Your expertise will help maximise the long-term availability and reliability of their assets, ensuring a dependable energy supply for their customers.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage project governance, monitoring, and reporting to track performance and manage information effectively.
- Oversee stakeholder and communications management, addressing their interests and managing conflicts.
- Develop and control project budgets, monitoring costs and supporting funding submissions.
- Manage project scope, including changes, assumptions, and constraints.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure all projects are included in the resource plan.
- Prepare and maintain schedules aligned with project delivery.
- Identify and manage risks and issues, contributing to a comprehensive risk management plan.
- Facilitate procurement processes and contribute to contract management.
- Develop and implement a quality management plan, ensuring project assurance and continuous improvement.
- Manage resources effectively, monitoring progress against plans and ensuring commitment acceptance.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in project management within the energy sector.
- Strong skills in project governance, stakeholder management, and communications.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
- Ability to manage project scope and changes effectively.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Willingness to travel to sites and customer premises as required.
