Bloom Energy

Company Overview

Name

Bloom Energy Corporation

Headquarters

San Jose, CA, United States

Founded

2001

Size

Approximately 1,400 employees globally (source: salestools.io). Market capitalization of $4.31 billion as of recent reports (source: cbinsights.com).

What They Do

Bloom Energy specializes in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems that facilitate distributed on-site power generation and hydrogen production. Their technology converts fuels such as natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen into electricity through an electrochemical process, eliminating combustion and enhancing efficiency (source: moomoo.com). The flagship product, the Bloom Energy Server, is a modular unit capable of delivering 100 kilowatts (kW) of power, designed to be scalable by stacking multiple units to meet larger energy demands, such as powering 100 average U.S. homes (source: bloomenergy.com). Additional products include the Bloom Electrolyzer for hydrogen production, alongside services like long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) and maintenance contracts (source: investing.com). Their target markets encompass utilities, data centers, agriculture, retail, healthcare, and education, with a sales strategy that includes both direct and indirect channels (source: vizologi.com).

Projects & Track Record

Since its first commercial installation in July 2008, Bloom Energy Servers have produced over 11 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 1,000 U.S. homes for a year (source: bloomenergy.com). Notable projects include installations at eBay Inc. headquarters, which were unveiled in 2010 with prominent figures such as California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and General Colin Powell in attendance (source: bloomenergy.com). The company has secured significant contracts, including a partnership with AEP Ohio for up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of SOFCs for data centers, starting with an initial order of 100 megawatts (MW) and plans for expansion by 2025 (source: cbinsights.com). Bloom Energy's geographic presence is primarily in the U.S., with ongoing international expansion supported by its San Jose headquarters, which serves as the global operations hub (source: salestools.io).

Recent Developments

In the past two years, Bloom Energy received PUCO approval on June 1, 2025, allowing AEP Ohio to deploy SOFC units at AWS and Cologix data centers, leveraging their previous agreement for 1GW of SOFCs (source: cbinsights.com). The company has also strengthened its board with the addition of members such as Cynthia J. Warner in 2023, Barbara J. Burger and Gary S. Pinkus in 2024, and Jim Hagemann Snabe in 2025, enhancing governance and strategic oversight (source: investing.com). While no specific acquisitions or mergers have been reported post-IPO, the ongoing influence of their technology milestones, such as the launch of the Bloom Energy Server in 2010, continues to shape their contract landscape (source: bloomenergy.com).

Working There

Bloom Energy offers a variety of roles across engineering, product management, sales, marketing, and operations, with a significant presence at their San Jose headquarters (source: salestools.io). The company culture is centered around innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, providing flexible workspaces, wellness rooms, and professional growth opportunities to attract and retain top talent (source: salestools.io). While specific benefits packages were not detailed, the emphasis on employee well-being and a supportive work environment is a key aspect of their organizational ethos (source: salestools.io).

Bloom Energy is seeking a highly organized, discreet, and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Chief Financial Officer. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of the Finance organization, providing critical executive support across a fast-paced calendar of internal leadership, Board, investor, and customer engagements.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive support professional who thrives in a high-growth public-company environment, anticipates needs before they arise, exercises sound judgment with confidential information, and operates as a trusted extension of the CFO. This role partners closely with the broader Finance leadership team, the CEO's office, the Corporate Secretary, Investor Relations, and external stakeholders including Board members, investors, and bankers.

This role is based in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the CFO's complex and dynamic calendar, including prioritization of internal leadership meetings, Board and Audit Committee preparation, investor engagements, customer meetings, and team operating cadences.
  • Coordinate and book domestic and international travel - flights, hotels, ground transportation, visas, and detailed itineraries - and manage seamless changes when plans shift.
  • Prepare, process, and reconcile expense reports, corporate card transactions, and travel reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CFO, including Board members, investors, analysts, bankers, auditors, and senior executives.
  • Coordinate logistics for quarterly earnings preparation, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and Board and Audit Committee meetings in close partnership with Investor Relations and the Corporate Secretary.
  • Draft, edit, and format communications, presentations, and meeting materials with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism; handle highly confidential financial and strategic information with absolute discretion.
  • Plan and execute Finance leadership team meetings, offsites, and town halls - including agenda development, logistics, catering, and follow-up on action items.
  • Track key deliverables, deadlines, and follow-ups across the Finance organization; partner with the CFO's direct reports to keep priorities visible and on track.
  • Partner with the broader EA community at Bloom - particularly the CEO's EA and other executive support partners - to ensure seamless coordination across the executive team.
  • Manage onboarding logistics for new Finance leaders and support team-wide events, recognition, and culture-building activities.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-suite or senior executive leaders, preferably including a CFO or other senior Finance executive.
  • Direct experience in a public-company environment is strongly preferred, with familiarity around earnings cycles, Board cadence, and investor-facing activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars, multi-leg international travel, and high-volume scheduling across time zones.
  • Proven track record of handling highly confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion and sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft polished correspondence on behalf of the executive.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Zoom, and expense/travel platforms (e.g., Concur).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive - anticipates needs, identifies issues early, and resolves them with minimal direction.
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable to shifting priorities, and able to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stakes situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence; able to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong personal ethics, intellectual curiosity, and a service-oriented mindset.
