Job Description
Step into the world of power trading and become part of a team that thrives on data, quick decision-making, and market dynamics. From day one, you will be involved in real trading activities, work closely with experienced traders, and gain valuable hands-on experience in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximizing the value of renewable energy assets by supporting trading activities across futures and spot markets, including Day-Ahead and Intraday markets
- Participating in daily trading activities across physical and financial power markets
- Preparing and submitting schedules and nominations to relevant transmission system operators
- Assisting in developing and improving trading strategies and quantitative models
- Contributing to the enhancement of our internal trading systems and the automation of trading processes
- Monitoring market developments, pricing trends, and regulatory changes across European energy markets
- Sharing market insights and actively contributing to team discussions
Qualifications and Experience
- Up to 2 years of experience in power trading, financial markets, or a similar analytical environment (internships welcome)
- Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of Python, VBA, or other programming tools is an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of power markets, trading principles, and renewable energy sources
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn and grow within energy trading and market optimization fields
