Job Description

Hypower is currently seeking an Electrical BIM/VDC Technician to expand their skills and join our team! The ideal candidate will have at least five years of field experience and is interested in computers and 3D design.

Responsibilities Include

  • Design innovative electrical components/systems for commercial and industrial projects in Revit/Evolve 3D.
  • Acquire design intent, information, and models that will be used as a backdrop for our constructability modeling.
  • Review models, drawings, and details for accuracy and consistency. Implement revisions and make changes and adjustments as required.
  • Assemble composite design models for coordination and clash detection meetings.
  • Generate design documentation and sheets for fabrication and/or construction.
  • Create fabrication level of detail modeling and element detailing.

Qualifications Desired

  • Preferred - electrical field experience
  • Creative, Technical, and Artistic
  • Understanding of MEP Systems.
  • Knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit, Evolve Electrical, Navisworks, and related Building Information Modeling software. (we are willing to train qualified electricians)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, Word.)
  • Ability to provide a high level of attention and focus on creating complex technical documents.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally, visually, and graphically) digital design concepts to design and deliver to professionals with varying levels of understanding
  • Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate and interact with others in the department, including Superintendents, Project Managers, and Contractors.
  • Ability to take direction and work analytically and independently to complete assignments/goals within specified deadlines.
