Job Description

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for an Associate to join our Portfolio Management Team for our Advanced Bioenergy Funds based in Copenhagen.

The Portfolio Management team in the Advanced Bioenergy Fund (ABF) sits at the heart of our investment platform, overseeing the performance, strategy, and long‑term value creation of our largest and most strategic funds. The team manages the full lifecycle of portfolio assets by monitoring financial and operational performance, analyzing market and asset‑level developments, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring alignment with fund strategy. Working closely with investment teams, asset managers, and senior leadership, the team develops portfolio models, reporting frameworks, and decision‑support materials that guide both day‑to‑day management and long‑term planning. Joining the ABF Portfolio Management team means contributing directly to the success of high‑profile funds in a dynamic, analytical, and collaborative environment.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the management and performance oversight of our ABF funds. You'll gain exposure to high‑profile assets, collaborate with experienced professionals across the organization, and contribute directly to the performance of our ABF funds. Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing monitoring and analysis of portfolio performance across ABF
  • Maintain, update, and enhance portfolio models, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Prepare high‑quality materials for investment committees, senior management, and investor reporting
  • Conduct financial analysis, scenario modelling, and forecasting to support strategic decision‑making
  • Track key performance indicators, market trends, and asset‑level developments
  • Identify risks and opportunities within the portfolio and support follow‑up actions
  • Collaborate closely with investment teams, asset managers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with fund strategy
  • Assist in preparing portfolio reviews, valuation updates, and fund‑level presentations
  • Contribute to process improvements and the development of best‑practice portfolio management frameworks

You

You are holding a university degree in finance, economic, business or a related field and 1-4 years of relevant experience in investment management, portfolio management, corporate finance, consulting, or a similar analytical role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations
  • Self-starter with a structured and disciplined approach to your work, the ability to connect the dots independently, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid financial modelling skills and solid understanding of valuation, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with AI tools and data analytics is a plus
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple information sources
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
  • High level of professionalism, ownership, and motivation to contribute to fund‑level decision‑making
