Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This position will be responsible for incentive processing, daily bank activity coding and recording to the general ledger, daily bank accounts reconciliations, merchant settlements reconciliation, month-end close and reconciliations, journal entries, escheatment, and audit support. Our ideal team member will have strong work ethics, demonstrated knowledge of cash accounting and operational accounting functions, be detail-oriented, and have excellent interpersonal communication skills. Intermediate-level Excel is a must. Experience with bank portals, payment applications, and merchant settlements is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle treasury activities related to incentive processing such as prefunds, reimbursements, variance reconciliations.
  • Code and record bank activity to the ledger, transfer funds and reconcile bank accounts daily.
  • Apply customer payments and resolve unapplied payments timely.
  • Set up wire payments via bank portals, verify payment information.
  • Match merchant settlements to reports, upload details to ERP.
  • Assist with month-end close.
  • Complete month-end reconciliations, analyze variances.
  • Prepare, process, and record journal entries related to cash and incentives including supporting documentation.
  • Provide support to internal and external audits.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and provide support to special projects as assigned by management.

  • Prior experience as a cash or treasury accountant.
  • Perform assigned tasks based on objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills - a strong, self-starter with an ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Must be organized and efficient.
  • Exercise sound judgment - the ability to apply sound judgment and initiative in interpreting policies and procedures; understand the difference between exercising initiative and when to ask questions and/or escalate issues to the manager.
  • Strong MS Excel skills - proficient in VLOOKUPS, TEXT functions, Pivot tables, and data import/export.
  • Positive Attitude and Supportive Team member - ability to work individually and within a team and remain positive, productive, and flexible during peak and high-pressure periods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - ability to listen to others, communicate professionally with all levels of the organization, and willingness to work through organizational change and growth.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, reconcile variances, and solve problems independently.
  • Take ownership of assigned work to ensure deliverables are completed timely and free from errors.
  • Possess an advanced knowledge of accrual accounting concepts.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in complex reconciliation and variance analysis, required.
  • Experience with accounting systems, especially WorkDay, is desirable.
  • JPM Access portal desirable.

Target Compensation:

$80,000-90,000.00/annual

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Compensation Range

$69,300.00 - $103,900.00
