What They Do

SCADA International, now operating under the name Opoura, specializes in software and systems for SCADA, control, and energy management for power and infrastructure assets. The company offers a wide range of solutions, spanning hardware and software to installation, commissioning, consulting, and value-adding services around monitoring and data collection systems (SCADA) (source: lasso.dk). Their technology collects live production data from distributed assets and transforms it into decision-supporting information that optimizes performance and reduces costs (source: stateofgreen.com). A key part of their business is ETRM software, including systems for Energi Danmark, which automate energy trading and risk management with integration to power exchanges and Energinet (source: opoura.com). Opoura focuses on connecting, controlling, and commercializing energy assets across the value chain and now includes several digital and software companies under the same brand (source: windtech-international.com).

Projects & Track Record

A notable project is the implementation of the ETRM system for Energi Danmark, announced in April 2022, which simplifies and optimizes electricity trading through automated processes and direct integration with power exchanges and transmission system operators (source: opoura.com, ritzau.dk). Another important milestone is Deutsche Windtechnik, which has added more than 6,000 wind turbines to the Opoura platform, illustrating the large scale of asset management the group handles after the rebranding (source: opoura.com). SCADA International supports operational reliability for thousands of wind and solar farms as well as water supply companies globally (source: ritzau.dk). Their geographic reach includes Denmark, Germany, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, Romania, the United Kingdom, and the USA, reflecting both direct presence and customer base (source: ritzau.dk).

Recent Developments

In January 2023, Magnesium Capital and Morgan Stanley Investment Management completed the acquisition of the majority of shares in SCADA Holding A/S, bringing the group under new private equity ownership (source: ritzau.dk). That same month, SCADA International became a member of the industry association Intelligent Energi, highlighting the company’s position within energy software and services in Denmark (source: ritzau.dk). In December 2024, the company announced its rebranding to Opoura, consolidating several acquired companies under one name and signaling a focus on optimizing asset performance (source: ritzau.dk, windtech-international.com). In 2022, the company won Energi Danmark’s ETRM contract, marking an expansion from traditional SCADA monitoring to advanced trading and risk management software (source: ritzau.dk).

SCADA International is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, demonstrating formalized management systems in quality, environment, and occupational health and safety (source: stateofgreen.com). Job Description

Can you turn standards, regulatory requirements, and audit findings into practical ways of working? Opoura is looking for a Quality & Compliance Specialist who can strengthen governance while adapting systems and processes to the needs of a growing renewable energy technology company.

Your role

Based in Silkeborg, you will join our IT and Compliance team and report to the Head of IT & Compliance. You will operate and improve Opoura's Integrated Management System (IMS), including its alignment with our Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Quality, compliance, and assurance form the center of the role. You will help Opoura apply requirements in ways that strengthen decision-making, manage risk, improve business processes, and create confidence among customers and other stakeholders.

You will also facilitate Health & Safety and sustainability (ESG) activities. These are secondary elements of the role, focused on governance, coordination, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.

Across all areas, you will provide coordination, advice, and constructive challenge while helping the organization develop practical approaches suited to its needs, while operational accountability remains with the relevant managers and business functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and improve Opoura's Integrated Management System, maintaining readiness for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification.
  • Translate standards, regulations, and contractual obligations into proportionate practices that meet business needs and create organizational value.
  • Coordinate audits, management reviews, certifications, findings, non-conformities, corrective actions, and supporting evidence.
  • Partner with process and control owners to strengthen business processes, address recurring quality issues, and identify practical improvements.
  • Coordinate product, environmental, supplier, and vendor compliance activities with accountable functions.
  • Facilitate Health & Safety and sustainability and ESG governance, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.

To be successful in this position, you

  • See quality and compliance as business enablers and connect requirements to meaningful operational outcomes.
  • Adapt systems and controls to Opoura's risks, priorities, maturity, and ways of working.
  • Translate complex standards and obligations into clear, workable requirements that colleagues can apply.
  • Build trust across technical and business teams while confidently challenging weak evidence, unclear ownership, or ineffective processes.
  • Bring structure without creating unnecessary complexity or administration.
  • Balance attention to detail with sound business judgment and a practical, risk-based approach.
  • Work independently, communicate concerns clearly, and recognize when a matter requires management, legal, or specialist escalation.

Your background

You are an experienced quality, compliance, audit, or management-systems professional who understands that effective governance must work in practice. You are comfortable moving between formal requirements and business realities, involving specialist expertise when needed and can influence across functions without formal authority.

We imagine that you bring:

  • Proven experience operating or improving a Quality Management System, with practical knowledge of ISO 9001 or a comparable framework.
  • Experience coordinating audits, certifications, non-conformities, corrective actions, and controlled management-system documentation.
  • A good understanding of risk-based management, continual improvement, and how to maintain clear, auditable evidence.
  • Experience working with ISO/IEC 27001 or supporting ISMS assurance activities.

The following would be an advantage, but not a requirement:

  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training and exposure to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, IEC 62443, or product and supply-chain compliance.
  • Experience from technology, renewables, engineering, industrial, or critical-infrastructure environments.

What we offer

  • A specialist role with enterprise-wide visibility and the mandate to strengthen how quality and compliance work in practice.
  • The opportunity to influence the management systems and governance shaping Opoura's future.
  • Close cross-functional collaboration in an international culture.
  • Flexible work practices that support a sustainable work-life balance.
