What They Do
Ecohz specializes in sustainability solutions focused on helping corporate customers reduce emissions through documented renewable electricity, carbon credits, biogas, and digital platforms rather than developing power plants themselves (source: ecohz.com). Their core business involves the documentation and supply of renewable electricity and related market-based instruments such as Guarantees of Origin in Europe, RECs and Green-e in North America, and I-RECs in select Asian markets (source: lobbyfacts.eu). Ecohz offers innovative products like GO, which combines renewable energy purchasing with financing and building new renewable power generation assets (source: altenergymag.com). The company acts as a specialist adviser to multinational corporations seeking decarbonization and supply-chain emissions reductions, managing a diverse portfolio spanning hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass generation from more than 200 power plants operated by over 20 producers across Europe (source: linkedin.com).
Projects & Track Record
Ecohz's track record centers on market infrastructure and client-side decarbonization rather than physical construction projects, emphasizing portfolio scale and product milestones. Historically, the company reported a renewable energy portfolio totaling nearly 48 TWh, supported by fixed supplier agreements with more than 20 producers and over 200 power plants (source: energy-xprt.com). It is recognized as one of Europes leading independent suppliers of documented renewable electricity, providing verified renewable energy solutions to a broad range of corporate clients (source: lobbyfacts.eu).
Recent Developments
In January 2026, Ecohz was acquired by Caely Renewables, marking a significant milestone in its corporate development and ownership structure (source: ecohz.com). In July 2025, the company strengthened its biomethane offering by obtaining ISCC EU certification, enhancing its portfolio of sustainable energy products (source: ecohz.com). Additionally, in August 2025, Ecohz announced the launch of an I-TRACK Foundation template designed to support CBAM-compliant Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), reflecting its commitment to innovative market solutions (source: ecohz.com).
Working There
Ecohz fosters a dynamic, open, personal, and empowering work culture, with its centrally located Oslo office designed to encourage sustainable commuting options such as public transport and cycling (source: ecohz.com). The company primarily hires for commercial, advisory, marketing, communication, and client-service roles rather than heavy engineering positions, as reflected by public contacts including Head of Marketing, Communication & Events and Communications Manager (source: ecohz.com). This focus supports its mission to provide expert guidance and market-based renewable energy solutions to multinational clients.
