Your Missions

The Health, Safety & Environment Manager is responsible for promoting and ensuring the health and safety of Voltalia workers and subcontractors, the compliance with the Voltalia requirements and the Law to satisfy stakeholders and ensuring legal compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementation in the local organization of the HSE Policies defined by Voltalia Group;
  • Monitoring of rules and other national and European normative documents;
  • Compliance with local law;
  • Leading and management of a Team and ensuring the functional management of Health, Safety and Environment Technicians, whether of the Voltalia, or the subcontracted to external entities;
  • Motivation and familiarization of all employees and subcontractors regarding the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided;
  • Development, approval of Health & Safety Plans for productive activities which are Voltalia responsibility, in coordination with the concerned directions;
  • Support to management in the HSE policy and guidelines issue, in the organization roles and responsibilities definition;
  • Safeties related engineering input into new projects and modification programs;
  • Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders;
  • Definition and implementation of a training program;
  • Definition of an annual audit program for Health, Safety & Environment matters; Performance of safety audits on Sub-contractors;
  • Reporting of Health, Safety & Environment KPI´s in a Corporate basis;
  • Database maintenance on HSE incidents and their treatments;
  • Development and internal validation of the emergency plans;
  • Involvement and supervision of the implementation and effectiveness of the action plans (corrective and preventive actions);
  • Search for continuous improvement through audits and monitoring of internal processes.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Education: Degree in related areas like Management or Engineering (Post Graduate studies in Health, Safety and Environment);
  • Professional Experience: Experience greater than 5 years in similar positions;
  • Knowledge/Specific Training:
    • Training in Health and Safety at Work and/or Environmental;
    • Training in Management Systems (Quality, Safety and/or Environmental);
    • Training in Audits;
    • Excellent knowledge of the law, regulations and norms of Health and Safety Work;
    • Excellent numeric ability;
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Native: French
    • Fluent: English
    • Advanced: Portuguese is a plus
