Job description
The role covers technical and operational leadership of subsea cable landfall projects, from tendering and engineering through to offshore and onshore execution. It combines hands-on technical ownership of pull-in methods, survey data analysis and installation methodology with day-to-day supervision of offshore and onshore operations and direct client-facing responsibility.
The position is based in Aix-en-Provence, with frequent international travel to project sites during tendering, engineering and execution phases. It sits at the intersection of engineering, field operations and client management, requiring the ability to move fluidly between office-based technical preparation and hands-on offshore and onshore supervision.
Role overview

- Contribute technical expertise to cable protection system selection and installation constraints assessment
Offshore and onshore execution
- Supervise offshore and onshore operations, ensuring operational excellence, HSE compliance and cable integrity throughout all critical phases
- Coordinate in real time between marine and onshore teams across pull-in, HDD preparation, TJB, burial and survey activities
- Manage inspection, maintenance and repair activities in the nearshore environment
Client and project management
- Act as the technical focal point for clients, subcontractors and suppliers, defending technical solutions and ensuring successful project delivery
- Lead project performance, including schedule, budget, reporting, contractual risk management, variation orders and claims
Key deliverables
- Cable landfall projects delivered safely, on schedule and within budget, from tendering through to execution
- Pull-in methods and installation/burial methodologies validated and adapted to site conditions
- Offshore and onshore operations coordinated with HSE compliance and cable integrity maintained throughout
- Technical solutions defended and successful outcomes secured with clients, subcontractors and suppliers

- Multidisciplinary teams (marine assets, survey, diving, ROV, civil works) coordinated effectively across project phases
Requirements
Education
- Engineering degree in Maritime, Offshore, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Experience
Must-have:
- 8 to 12 years of experience within the subsea cable industry, with significant hands-on experience in cable landfall and shore-end operations
- Proven experience managing complex offshore and nearshore projects from tendering through to execution
