We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Solar Installer Intern to support our technical team in the installation, testing, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role offers valuable field experience for students or fresh graduates interested in renewable energy, electrical systems, or engineering.

The intern will work alongside experienced wiremen, technicians, and engineers to gain real-world exposure in site operations, system setup, and basic troubleshooting-all in compliance with safety and industry standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and wiring of solar PV systems, including mounting structures and panels, as per engineering drawings and layouts.
  • Participate in routine checks, testing, and basic troubleshooting of solar equipment and inverters.
  • Support senior technicians and wiremen in positioning and securing solar panels and configuring system connections.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and accurately under supervision.
  • Contribute to on-site housekeeping and proper organization of tools, materials, and cables.
  • Observe and assist in applying health and safety practices throughout the installation process.
  • Learn the basics of using drone cameras for site progress documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with stock movement, packing, and loading of materials when needed.

How You'll Be Successful

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Solar Technology, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Physically fit, willing to work outdoors and at heights.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical tools and safety practices (training will be provided).
  • Responsible, eager to learn, and able to follow instructions closely.
  • Ability to travel to project sites.
