What They Do
MaxSolar GmbH is an integrated energy infrastructure developer focused on the planning, construction, and operation of modern energy systems that combine photovoltaic plants, wind power, battery storage, e-mobility charging infrastructure, and heating supply solutions (source: maxsolar.com, lobbyregister.bundestag.de). The company primarily serves businesses and municipalities with integrated energy concepts and long-term power supply agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) (source: maxsolar.com). With a strong focus on large-scale ground-mounted systems, rooftop installations, battery storage, medium- and high-voltage systems, as well as project development and implementation, MaxSolar covers the entire value chain from planning to operation (source: maxsolar.jobs.personio.de, maxsolar.com). Founded in 2024, the subsidiary Energy Partners GmbH complements the offering with integrated rooftop and commercial energy projects (source: maxsolar.com).
Projects & Track Record
MaxSolar has completed several significant projects, including the 125 MW Bundorf solar park in Bavaria in 2023 and the 4.1 MW battery storage project in Reckertshausen in 2022 (source: maxsolar.com). In 2024, a rooftop PV project with 2,480 kW was implemented in Schwindegg, while the construction of the Holheim substation and charging infrastructure in Heldenstein is planned for 2025 (source: maxsolar.com). The expansion of the Marktl district heating network is scheduled for 2026. Additionally, MaxSolar acts as the main contractor for the 11 MW Regensburg East solar park (source: maxsolar.com). A key partnership exists with SMA Solar Technology AG, enabling MaxSolar to offer maintenance and service work on central inverters; this was implemented in the Bundorf project with 22 SMA medium-voltage container solutions (source: maxsolar.com). Currently, MaxSolar is working on its first grid-supportive storage project in cooperation with Bayernwerk Netze in Bavaria (source: maxsolar.com).
Recent Developments
In September 2025, MaxSolar opened its new company headquarters at Traunstein railway station, equipped with a rooftop photovoltaic system of around 30 kWp and a 20 kWp facade PV installation (source: maxsolar.com). In October 2025, the strategic partnership with the Greenvolt Group in the battery storage (BESS) sector was strengthened, highlighting the first grid-supportive storage project with Bayernwerk Netze (source: maxsolar.com). Already in March 2024, MaxSolar expanded its service offering through a cooperation with SMA Solar Technology AG, which includes maintenance work on central inverters, and announced two major projects with 90 MWp and 40 MWp for 2024 (source: maxsolar.com). In February 2024, the subsidiary Energy Partners GmbH was founded, specializing in integrated rooftop energy projects for industrial and commercial customers (source: maxsolar.com).
