Job description
Pexapark is the price intelligence platform for clean energy. Covering solar, wind, and battery storage across more than 20 countries, Pexapark helps clean energy buyers, sellers, and investors navigate increasingly complex power markets with confidence. To do this, the company combines market-based insights and pricing solutions with expert-led transaction facilitation.
Unlike fundamental assumptions or infrequent RFPs, Pexapark is powered by real market data sourced on an ongoing basis from more than a hundred counterparties. This enables Pexapark to provide a market consensus view on otherwise non-transparent contracts. As a result, both new entrants and experienced players trust Pexapark to connect the dots across every stage of clean energy commercialization - from pre-transaction analysis, to price negotiation, to post-transaction performance and exposure management.
Founded in 2017 by power traders, Pexapark has facilitated over 40,000 megawatts of transactions and currently serves more than 250 customers across Europe and the US.
The Role
The US renewable energy market is experiencing profound change. During such a period, market participants need reliable intelligence to cut through the complexity and make data-driven decisions. Pexapark, combining our proven track record in Europe with our acquisition of US-based RenewaFi last year, is uniquely positioned to provide that intelligence.
As an Account Executive, you will own a sales quota and help build the US sales function from the ground up. This is not a role that comes with a mature team, a defined playbook, or a warm pipeline handed to you. You will help create those things. In the near term, that means owning a quota yourself, getting in front of the right buyers, and closing business.
The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a track record of meeting sales quotas, and a genuine interest in the energy transition. This role offers hands-on coaching from senior members of the commercial team, with a clear growth path as you build your book of business.
What You Will Do
Account Planning and Deal Closing
- Take ownership of US sales targets and be accountable for achieving your quota
- Qualify leads against clear criteria and keep opportunity data accurate and up to date
- Build and manage your pipeline, identifying and prioritizing the highest-value prospects across developers, utilities, corporations, and financial institutions active in the US renewable energy and battery storage markets
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, from lead qualification to close, using a value-driven sales approach
Pipeline Generation
- Own outbound prospecting and pipeline generation, identifying and engaging new prospects across the US market
- Build a consistent pipeline through a combination of cold calling, email outreach, video outreach, and LinkedIn, developing your market knowledge along the way
Leverage Pexapark's Platform
- Bring Pexapark's market analysts, advisors, and product experts into client engagements, championing an expert-led, consultative approach to selling
- Represent Pexapark at key US industry events, building the brand's profile and your own network within the US renewable energy ecosystem
- Feed market intelligence back into product and advisory teams to continuously refine Pexapark's US proposition
What You Will Bring
- Familiarity with the US renewable energy and battery storage markets is strongly preferred
- 4-5 years of experience closing sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
- Experience navigating complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, with typical deal sizes ranging from $20,000 to $200,000
- Strong CRM discipline and a data-driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting, with hands-on experience with Salesforce
- Willingness and ability to travel to meet with prospects
- A demonstrated ability to act with integrity, show initiative, and bring a naturally curious mindset
- A willingness to follow a structured sales process, take coaching, and learn from senior colleagues
- Experience in a startup environment. You know how to operate with ambiguity, move fast, and build systems from the ground up
- A good sense of humor
We Offer
- The opportunity to influence major decisions in the energy sector, supporting the transition to net zero
- Options for equity participation in our company
- Company-wide events, including PEXA parties
- A scale-up culture made up of an internationally diverse team of renewable energy experts and seasoned professionals
- A company bonus scheme or company incentive plan
