About this role
About SKE Engineering
Company overview
What they do
SKE Engineering GmbH is a specialised Austrian distributor and technical support company for Huawei FusionSolar products, focusing on photovoltaic inverters, battery storage, and digital energy solutions. It operates primarily as a channel partner, supplying Huawei photovoltaic technology through a partner network that serves Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, including 16 countries such as Austria, Greece, Ireland and the Balkans (source: ske-solar.com). The company’s business model centres on product sales, logistics, multilingual technical advice, commissioning support, warranty processing, and partner training rather than direct project development or construction (source: ske-solar.com). SKE positions itself as a Huawei Value Added Partner and Huawei Service Partner, combining Huawei’s digital, AI and cloud-enabled photovoltaic technology with regional execution capabilities including local inventory, shipping, and multilingual customer support in eight languages (source: ske-solar.com).
Projects & track record
SKE Engineering’s project involvement is primarily through its partner network, providing product supply, technical planning assistance, commissioning support and after-sales service rather than owning or directly engineering photovoltaic assets. A notable project supported by SKE is the 167.2 kW photovoltaic installation at the Eugenides Foundation in Greece, where SKE contributed through product distribution and technical support (source: ske-solar.com). The company’s support extends across residential, commercial and utility-scale projects, with direct cooperation with Huawei for on-site assistance on larger installations (source: ske-solar.com). SKE also provides comprehensive training and certification through its SKE Academy, enhancing partner capabilities in planning and installation (source: ske-solar.com).
Recent developments
In recent years, SKE Engineering has reinforced its position as a Huawei 5-Star Certified Service Partner, highlighting its commitment to high-quality service and technical support for FusionSolar solutions (source: ske-solar.com). The company has expanded its educational offerings through the SKE Academy, which delivers roadshows and hands-on training to installers and partners, combining theoretical instruction with practical exercises to prepare them for effective planning and installation work (source: ske-solar.com). Additionally, SKE’s LinkedIn showcase indicates an expanded operational footprint covering 16 European countries, reflecting growth beyond its previously stated 15-country market (source: linkedin.com).
Working there
Employment at SKE Engineering encompasses a variety of roles including sales and channel management, logistics and supply chain, technical support, commissioning, customer service, warranty administration, partner training, documentation, project assistance, and finance or administration (source: ske-solar.com). Technical staff typically engage with Huawei inverter and battery products, photovoltaic system architecture, monitoring platforms, commissioning procedures, and grid-related requirements across residential, commercial and utility-scale projects (source: ske-solar.com). The company’s headquarters in St. Florian, Upper Austria, serves as the principal office, while logistics operations in Austria and England support its broad European market reach, enabling multilingual and cross-border collaboration (source: linkedin.com). The workplace culture emphasises hands-on technical education, multilingual cooperation, and close partner support, with the SKE Academy providing practical training and roadshows to enhance employee and partner expertise (source: ske-solar.com).
