Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in the technology and energy sectors. As a foundational member growing our People Ops team, you will play a critical role in supporting the people functions within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and HR administration.

Responsibilities

  1. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  1. Employee Relations
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees regarding People Ops-related inquiries, issues, and concerns.
  • Facilitate effective communication between employees and management to address workplace conflicts and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Plan team building workshops and culture-building activities.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  1. Performance Management
  • Support the performance management process by assisting managers in setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Identify training and development needs based on performance evaluations and career aspirations.
  • Track and analyze performance data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  1. HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant People Ops policies and regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Process payroll and manage timekeeping systems to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
  1. Compliance and Policy Development
  • Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in human resources, preferably in the technology or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other HR-related tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality HR services to employees.
