Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preliminary design management, energy modeling, engineering management, permitting, pre-construction, construction, commissioning and close-out support on Solar PV and Battery Storage specified projects.
  • Coordinate individuals to support project development i.e., coordinate and administer site walks, shade studies, surveyor, and pre-development support.
  • Support Senior PM with coordination all equipment procurement for projects (product specification, delivery & storage, purchase orders).
  • Project management and coordination of third-party engineering contractor schedule and deliverables.
  • Manage engineering design, permitting and development activities for projects as required.
  • Coordinate with on-site customer and obtain approvals for design concepts, communicate progress by attending site conference calls/meetings as required.
  • Manage conceptual and detailed engineering design and bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for renewable energy.
  • Support technical work with vendors and installation contractors (as appropriate through PreConstruction) for feasibility and pricing verification of proposed project modifications.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout construction, commissioning, and close out to implementation team.
  • Manage all utility communication i.e., interconnection applications, engineering coordination, on-site support as required.
  • Safety compliance, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
  • Ensure successful project implementation which meets company objectives, financial parameters, and technical requirements to deliver customer energy cost savings.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a variety of the fundamental activities that support the Renewable Energy Development process including: project solar and battery modeling, engineering, construction of energy generation projects, power purchase agreements, performance contracting, and financial analysis of energy generation projects.

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with host customers, equipment vendors, engineers, and utilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel to Renewable Energy Project Sites to support permitting and construction management teams.
  • Advanced Proficiency in PC software applications AutoCAD, PV Syst, Energy Toolbase, Helioscope, Google Sketch preferred.
