Carbon Services

The Carbon Services Team provide services across our client’s electricity and gas portfolios that can be summarised as follows:

  • Climate Change Agreements (CCAs)
  • Streamlined and Energy Carbon Reporting (SECR)
  • Energy Intensive Industries (EII)
  • Industrial and Transformation Energy Fund (IETF)
  • Government Relief Schemes
  • Review of Regulatory and Carbon framework and Government initiatives
  • One off consultancy services

Role Scope – Carbon Services Analyst

The Carbon Services Analyst would be working within the Carbon Services Team and their role will include:

  • Completion and monitoring of clients CCAs submissions to the relevant Trade Association, includes explaining the cost implications to clients
  • Completion of the relevant CCA documentation to the clients supplier and HMRC
  • Collation of scope 1 and 2 emissions and completion of SECR carbon emission reports for clients inclusion in the Statutory Accounts
  • Collation of 3 years of Statutory Accounts and energy data for EII clients and submission to the relevant government department
  • Completion of quarterly and annual returns for EII clients
  • Completion of IETF submissions to government and then on going support to the client throughout the M&V and reporting process
  • Regular review of Government Relief Schemes and translating into the commercial impact for clients
  • On going review of the Regulatory and Carbon legislation and Government initiatives to assess the impact on Ameresco clients
  • Provide support to the Client Service Manager on consulting projects

Experienced in

  • Data analytics and an expert excel user
  • Handling large quantities of financial and numerical data
  • Client facing communications both by email and in person
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and activities
  • Management and handling of large complex client portfolios
  • Minimum of at least 2 years relevant industry knowledge
  • Relevant degree level qualification

Personal Attributes

The candidate must be self-starter who can identify priorities within the business – there may be periods without close supervision.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work. They will be customer focused, passionate about energy efficiency and renewable energy. They should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines.
