What we are looking for
This person will contribute to the specification and maintenance of hardware offerings by actively managing the databases and processes related to product offerings. Assists the technical sales and engineering teams in gathering important information from vendors, clients, and manufacturers in order to fully support internal and third-party hardware. Develops internal and external documents to support installation and configuration of intelligent electrical devices.
Responsibilities
- Maintain database of hardware components and assembly bill of materials. Including parts definitions, limitations, datasheets, test reports, and other related documents.
- Assist technical sales and design teams by validating hardware for use in data acquisition systems.
- Assist the engineering team with data entry, system testing, and other tasks as requested.
- Contact suppliers and manufacturers by phone and email to gather information.
- Review and validate site documents and drawings for large scale systems prior to production.
- Update and modify external documentation for hardware installation instruction.
- Create, update, and modify internal documents to assist other departments in supporting hardware and software products.
- Builds and executes audits against internal systems.
- Aligns workflows and supports development of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supports efforts to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and product quality issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- B.S. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related subject.
- 1+ years experience with industrial control panel design and testing.
- Basic understanding and experience with AC and DC circuits and wiring.
- Experience with RS-485, RS-232, Ethernet, fiber and other industrial/commercial communication wiring standards.
- Working knowledge of industrial communications protocols and analog/discrete IO wiring standards.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Visual Basic for Applications, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
- Strong written language skills required, experience with technical manuals is a plus.
- High level of attention to detail is a must.
- Must be highly organized and able to efficiently switch between multiple projects. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
This is a salaried exempt position, M-F, with additional weekend work as required.
Job Location
This position is based in Boulder, CO.
Salary Range: $70,160 to $105,240
