We are Skeleton Technologies, a Global Cleantech 100 company and the global technology leader in fast energy storage. We have acquired a former European Batteries Plant in Varkaus where we will start with our pilot production of our SuperBatteries. With this strategic expansion, Skeleton Technologies will accelerate the development and production of its SuperBattery and other new energy storage products on its technology roadmap. This ramp-up of manufacturing and R&D capacity will strengthen Skeleton’s position to serve the market needs for high-power fast-charging energy storage, and explore new technologies.

We are looking for Lab Technican (m/f/x) to join our mission in Varkaus.

You will be assigned the following tasks

  • Execution of lab-scale R&D experiments according to development project plans, from material.
  • Characterization and electrode preparation to electrochemical cells testing.
  • Supporting R&D prototype-scale activities by pilot electrode density analysis, industrial cells filling, and materials preparation for pilot coatings.
  • Updating respective project’s pages/documentation according to the lab- and prototype-scale activities, including material CoAs and MSDS documentation.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Generate data for patent applications.

Requirements

You are a good fit for the team if you can tick off the following boxes:

  • At least 2 years of experience in battery industry: Slurry preparation, electrode preparation, cell preparation.
  • Skills and experience in Laboratory work and handling of dangerous Chemicals.
  • Observation skills and attention to detail.
  • A thorough and methodical approach to work.
  • The ability to document test results accurately and write reports.
  • Open and curious personality.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good level of Finnish and English languages.
  • Great addition: Data analysis skills.
