Job Description

We have an exciting Associate Materials Analyst role to join our team. Under direct supervision, the Associate Analyst will support the timely and accurate delivery of Materials for Capital Projects across the company footprint. Position requires collaboration with multiple teams across the organization including Project Management, Procurement, Materials Planning & Logistics, as well as Engineering. Interface with external vendors will also be needed to ensure appropriate timing of delivery.

The role is based in Berlin, CT

Essential Functions

  • Validate the availability of these materials through inventory or direct vendor delivery.
  • Coordinates, through meetings, project schedules, material requisitions, procurement records, inventory data, Excel spreadsheets, Access/database computer programs, email programs, the delivery of materials in support of an assigned group of projects.
  • Coordinates with Project and Procurement teams to ensure appropriate processing of orders for materials required for major projects.
  • Coordinates with Project Management team regarding project schedule to ensure material delivery needs are met.
  • Participates in weekly project planning meetings and provides updates on delivery of materials to designated show up sites.
  • Coordinates with external vendors on direct ship material delivery timeframes.
  • Coordinates with Material Planning and Logistics on the availability, preparation, and delivery of materials from Eversource facilities.
  • Coordinates with Material & Equipment personnel to resolve vendor delivery delays and ordering issues which require additional intervention
  • Assists and takes direction from Category Lead on performance of daily work assignments.
  • Responsible for maintaining material status records to support Project Management Team
  • Maintains integrity of procurement transactional records, as needed, across the spectrum of the materials management process
  • Supports the maintenance and integrity of scheduling data and reporting as needed to achieve systemic improvements in the materials management process.

Qualifications/Education/Experience

Education

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • 6+ months experience with Maximo (Supply Chain Inventory System) experience preferred.
  • Three years’ experience in professional role, preferably involving the support of project management, with a focus on data skills, working well in a team environment, and successfully achieving timelines.
  • Proficient/Advanced Level of MS Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with other people to achieve desired ends.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage varying workloads and projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to collaborate with Procurement, Materials Planning, Standards Engineering, Project Managers, Construction Representatives, Service Center Planners, and Engineering Departments is required.

Working Conditions

  • Work is generally in an office environment but will be required to go project sites and warehouse as needed.
  • Must be able to work emergency storm assignments as required.
  • Our hybrid schedule is 90 days in the office and then move to hybrid flexible schedule.

Compensation and Benefits
