Job Description
Factorial develops breakthrough solid-state battery technology to enable safe, scalable, and high-performance cells for electric vehicles. Our portfolio of solid-state innovations includes the segment-leading FEST® (Factorial Electrolyte System Technology), which has been scaled in 100+Ah cells, works at room temperature, and is compatible with existing lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment. With strong OEM backing, including joint development agreements with Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and Hyundai Motor Company, a world-class team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals, and cutting-edge R&D facilities, Factorial is pushing the boundaries of battery technology.
The Opportunity
Factorial Energy is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in our Cheonan, Korea location. This person will be responsible for leading the advanced engineering projects to design and develop the next generation lithium metal battery.
In this role, you will
- Develop and oversee detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
- Conduct regular meetings to assess project progress and address any issues, ensuring clarity in roles and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer interactions, managing demands, complaints, and providing systematic solutions.
- Coordinate with internal resources to ensure project execution aligns with planned schedules and objectives.
- Facilitate product development from concept through to production, ensuring technical and quality standards are met.
- Generate regular updates and presentations for management based on team input and project status, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Employ creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and ensure project success.
We are looking for people who
- Have a Bachelor's degree or above, with a preference for majors in electronic and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, chemistry/electrochemistry, etc.
- Have over 3 year's of work experience in project management, with a preference for those with experience in the development of new energy vehicles or battery projects, those with product development experience, and those with work experience directly related to customers.
- Are at least familiar with one skill in mechanical/thermal design/simulation, battery cell design, or vehicle application.
- Have strong learning and comprehension abilities, with an innovative spirit, clear logic and strong communication and coordination skills.
- Are fluent in English, with proficiency in German/Korean or other minor languages preferred.
- Are able to work onsite in Cheonan, South Korea.
- Are familiar with the application of Office software.
- Preferred candidate with working experience as battery engineer with top ranked tier-1 battery cell companies.
