Job Description
As Lead Contract Manager, you will lead resources and training contracting for the Offshore Renewables Business area which includes negotiation of contracts and framework contracts, to bring on a time-limited workforce with specific skill sets required by projects (particularly during construction) and across different business areas working with Multinational Contractors.
Ensuring that Iberdrola/ScottishPower Renewables position is suitably protected in any agreements, you will lead the negotiation and completion of a specific set of contracts related to contingent workers, external resources and training needs.
Responsibilities
Leading the negotiation and completion of contingent workers, external resources and training needs contracts, you will ensure contracting proposals are supported with detailed contractual assessments and accurate needs forecasts for a 3-to-5-year period, if framework agreement related.
Anticipating contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the Business and implementing control measures or actions, you will maintain value added relationships with all contractors and suppliers.
Coordinating Legal, Insurance and Procurement activities along all various jurisdictions applicable (UK, Spain, France, Germany) where projects are developed, constructed and/or operated, you will be required to monitor contractor performance, ensure quality, H&S and cost targets are met to ensure Contingent workers working on projects are consistent with contract terms and have sound commercial management and risk management principles.
Managing the Supply Chain strategy for the Resources and Training area of the Business, you will hold responsibility for securing sufficient resources capacity in accordance with the Business strategy, pipeline, programmes and budgets; devising the most economically advantageous multi-contract solutions and for ensuring procurement best practice and sound risk allocation principles are maintained.
With responsibility for the financial control of recruitment framework agreements, ensuring compliance with the annual budgets, you will also drive continuous improvement in all contractual strategies, commercial parameters and contractual terms and conditions.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to Degree standard in Law, or as an alternative, an Engineering discipline.
With substantial Postgraduate experience in industry with significant experience in the recruitment and contingent workers sector, you will be IT literate and possess an ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
Required to be flexible to travel throughout Europe, you will hold a proven track record delivering complex contracts.
Experience within the Renewables Offshore sector is advantageous.
