About the role

To put it simply… you will direct, monitor, and support Hydro Tasmania’s SAP implementation. You’ll effectively plan and coordinate efforts to manage and maintain BAU and programs infrastructure. This is a key role working closely with internal IT teams and support vendors to ensure the provisioning and maintenance of a robust SAP infrastructure.

It’s an exciting opportunity to shape the technical landscape and contribute to the success of Hydro Tasmania's SAP systems.

As a SAP Basis Specialist, you will:

• Oversee the SAP system landscape, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
• Manage small SAP projects, overseeing financials and delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality service, project schedules, and performance metrics are met.
• Leverage expertise from SAP Domain Architects and Solutions Designers to guide technical design.
• Coordinate Basis Administrators and third-party suppliers to manage and maintain BAU infrastructure.
• Ensure high-quality documentation, including requirements, specifications, and training materials.

Who are you?

With either tertiary qualifications or substantial SAP BASIS experience supporting SAP BAU and/or SAP Project environments, you have honed the technical skills needed to excel in this role. Your participation in multiple upgrade projects has equipped you with extensive SAP technical support experience. Additionally, your expertise includes automation tools, SAP non-production landscape refreshes S/4 HANA. Experience with migrations and working within the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition (RISE) environment is desirable.

Your success is rooted in delivering exceptional service to your customers and stakeholders, demonstrated by your strong interpersonal skills. You possess clear verbal and written communication abilities and can adapt your communication style to meet the needs of different stakeholders and situations.
