Work closely with internal customers, stakeholders and Hydro Tasmania’s in-house Energy Trading and Risk System development team to provide fit-for-purpose solutions and system enhancements.

Who are you?

A natural communicator, you have comprehensive experience in a Business Analysis and Systems Analysis role, as well as in all aspects of supporting an integrated business system and its associated components. Your experience also includes:

  • An ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a customer focus,
  • A whole-of-business perspective with the ability to understand the “why” as well as the “what”,
  • Strong and engaging communication skills with a collaborative approach

Your technical experience also includes:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Digital Product Owner/Product Manager or Business Analyst
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum Methodologies
  • Product strategy & roadmap development and negotiation of maximum value and business outcomes
  • Providing expert business analysis in IT implementation
  • Experience in requirements management & backlog management
  • Desirable exposure to energy or finance industries

About the role

To put it simply, in this dynamic and engaging role, you will contribute to efficient and effective business performance across Hydro Tasmania’s energy trading system enhancements. As the face of the inhouse development team and with direct access to internal customers, you can directly effect and influence positive outcomes for all stakeholders. In your role, you will play a key part in projects with progression to lead projects. You’ll be joining a high performing team who embrace working flexibility between the office and home.

As a Product Owner at Hydro Tasmania, you will…

✓ Own and optimise the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) Systems ensuring the seamless delivery of the backlog.

✓ Lead end-to-end implementation of new IT initiatives within ETRM scope, while continuously enhancing existing systems.

✓ Identify opportunities and benefits for business process improvement and automation.

✓ Build strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.

✓ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts, IT teams and various project teams across Hydro.
