Algorithm Full Stack Developer

Acelerex is an independent consultant and software maker company in the power sector. We are a leading provider of cutting-edge Analytics, Data Services, and SCADA/EMS technologies and solutions.

We are seeking a highly motivated Algorithm Full Stack Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various aspects of developing different types of algorithms, software deployment, testing, implementation, documentation, and project planning for our Analytics platform.

Job Description

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in enhancing the functionality and user experience of our software solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and enhance different analytic algorithms oriented to Electric Power Systems.

These algorithms are based on optimizers that help our users evaluate different strategies for revenue generation of energy storage and generation projects, evaluate similar projects using in-house forecasting methods, optimize grid expansion plans, and dispatch generators at minimum costs, among others.

You will be responsible for designing, enhancing, making more efficient, and maintaining these algorithms, getting feedback from our clients, and consulting team. Some of the tasks will include, optimizing workers’ memory usage, algorithm speed time, updating optimization problems, adding new features, and fixing bugs of Acelerex existing algorithms or designing and implementing new ones.

We are looking for a programmer with five or more years of experience with the following technologies, skills, and qualifications:

• Type script
• Node.js
• Jest
• Linux
• Postgres
• Python
• Others

Skills

• Skilled in Object Oriented Programming
• Familiar with Functional Programming
• Skilled with designing database schemas and indices
• Writing Unit Tests
• Optimizing Code for Performance
• Skilled in Typescript
• Linear Optimization
• Good written and spoken English skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred MS in computer science or BS in computer science
• A relevant portfolio of university projects can count for 1 year of experience

Location and Start Date

This is a remote position based in Santiago de Chile, Región Metropolitana. Immediate availability is preferred.
