Job Description
European Energy is looking for an experienced candidate to own the Enterprise Architecture that will shape the energy transition of the future.
We are looking for an experienced candidate with 10+ years of experience to take the role of Senior Enterprise Architect in Group Transformation, with the aim to design the future landscape for European Energy.
Our 900 employees at European Energy develop, construct and operate renewable assets across 25 markets. With a robust pipeline exceeding 60 GW across Solar, Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind, Batteries, Power-to-X and Carbon Capture, we are positioned to further expand our position as a leading player in the global shift towards sustainable energy. The team
Group Transformation is a new area anchored in Digital, IT & Group Transformation, an international and engaged group of 50+ people with diverse backgrounds, both business and digital savvy.
Group Transformation focuses on enabling effective, business-driven transformation across EE. Our team of 10 works in close collaboration with the rest of the company, combining strategic transformation expertise with digital capabilities to support the business in a more integrated and cohesive way.
Our mission is to help deliver meaningful change that sticks. Whether it's shaping new programmes, driving digital initiatives, or supporting cross-functional transformation efforts, Group Transformation plays a key role in turning ambition into action.

Our team reports directly to the company CIO, and you will be reporting to the Head of Group Transformation.
How you will create impact
We offer an opportunity to take on a leading role in the renewables sector with great responsibility and tangible impact on the global challenges of climate change. You will take European Energy through its scale up phase by defining, implementing and maintaining a best-in-class target operating model and enterprise architecture.
You will specifically take on responsibilities such as:
- Build technology roadmaps based on business goals for Energy
- Translate our ambitious strategy into a scalable architecture that supports the execution of the strategic business objectives
- Recommend investments in technology to ensure competitive advantage, operational efficiency and scalability
- Link mission-critical business outcomes, future state business capabilities, data, value streams, business processes, projects, products, and technologies required for European Energy to scale
- Collaborate with business leaders, project and product teams to define target state architectures that enable growth and improve operational effectiveness
- Coach and mentor other architects, product teams and business stakeholders to instil architectural thinking, with focus on business, data/information and solution architecture
- Effectively provide guiding principles, standard and minimal viable architectures, and a technology governance model informed by business strategy and corporate governance

What we look for
We seek an experienced, team-oriented individual with strong analytical and leadership capabilities, as you will be working in a high-paced and multidisciplinary environment. You find it motivating navigating in complex stakeholder landscapes and you would like to drive change and tackle some of the biggest issues in a rapidly growing company.
The ideal candidate will have a background that includes some of the following elements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business – or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with business leaders to co-create technology strategies & roadmaps in global organizations
- Experience working with different delivery models, and being part of agile delivery
- Proven Enterprise Architect track record in large and complex global companies. Experience in Consultancy / Professional Services is a plus.
- Certification in TOGAF or similar EA frameworks.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to navigate and influence within a matrixed organization
- The ability to explain complex IT concepts in business-friendly terms
- A strong and empathetic team player attitude with great people skills and capabilities within change management
