Summary/Primary Role
This role is a highly experienced and strategic individual who will be tasked with to developing, leading, and overseeing all aspects of lateral high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping installations for closed-loop geothermal operations. They will drive planning, design, execution, and innovation within the HDPE scope of geothermal systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a forward-looking approach to forecasting, procurement, and training. This position plays a critical role in aligning project execution with operational efficiency, cost control, and long-term sustainability.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of lateral HDPE piping for closed-loop geothermal department.
- Oversee project forecasting and planning to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
- Develop and implement internal training programs to strengthen team expertise in HDPE piping and geothermal installations.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, ensuring expectations, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Work closely with estimating teams to produce competitive and accurate project quotes and takeoffs.
- Build and maintain strong procurement relationships to secure high-quality materials at favorable pricing.
- Manage departmental planning, budgeting, and execution in alignment with company and client goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to optimize system designs for performance and sustainability.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to guide project design and planning.
- Lead, mentor, and support cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to HDPE piping and geothermal loop systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a dedicated manifolding area within the shop.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Must have (or ability and willingness to acquire) OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, SST Card, and HDPE Fusion Certification.
- 10+ years of experience in HDPE piping systems, geothermal energy, or related infrastructure projects.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale geothermal or utility infrastructure initiatives.
- Expertise in closed-loop geothermal systems and HDPE piping technologies.
- Strong knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards relevant to geothermal operations.
- Exceptional skills in communication, problem-solving, project management, and team development.
- Experience in cost estimating, procurement strategy, and vendor negotiations is highly desirable.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does have supervisory responsibility.
Expected Hours of Work
An Employee is expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws, while exempt employees may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities. Overtime requirements will be determined based on the operational needs of the organization. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Travel Requirements
- Travel Required up to 75% within the Northeast.
- Initial ramp-up will involve fieldwork, including site visits to Rock Tavern, NY (BCE location) and other project locations.

Office/Remote Work Guidelines
Recognizing the success of remote work, Brightcore operates in a hybrid model. Eligible employees will have the option to work remotely for two (2) days per week at their discretion, with final approval by their direct supervisor. This policy is subject to change at Brightcore's discretion.
