Job Description

Mainstream Renewable Power is looking for a Development Support Executive to support the Head of Development and Standards (ON/PV/BESS) with overall development strategy and standards, as well as supporting regional teams with development support related activities and workflow (having regard to the requirements of Mainstream’s Global Development Standards (GDS), to ensure the successful development of Mainstream’s renewable energy portfolio of projects in order to deliver sustainable growth.

What you will do

Global Development Standard (GDS)

  • Support with the continual development, improvement and implementation of Mainstream’s GDS and associated templates, systems and processes to ensure that they reflect best industry practices.
  • GDS Training & support
    • Provide support to regional development teams in relation to the GDS and associated templates, systems and processes.
    • Support with ongoing training activities to upskill regional development teams on the GDS and associated templates, systems and processes.

Development Support Systems

  • Project & Portfolio Management System (PPM)
    • Work with IS to support regional development teams with PPM back-office administration.
    • Provide support to regional development teams in relation to PPM maintenance, administration and training.
  • Project Schedules
    • Support with the development, improvement and implementation of development phase project schedules having regard to industry best practice.
    • Provide support to regional development teams on development phase project scheduling, including training.

Communication & Reporting

  • Regular communication and support to all central and regional development teams.
  • Support all central and regional development teams with report preparation.
  • Support with the creation, maintenance and update of reports within the Power BI reporting platform.

Other: Other duties as required from time to time, in line with this role

  • Support the regional Development Managers in the delivery of fully consented wind, solar and BESS projects in time and on budget, in line with approved business plans.
  • Liaising with the relevant in-house teams: energy analysis, GIS, engineering, grid, construction, operations, finance, corporate affairs, corporate finance, management.
  • Supporting with New Market Entry and Project Due Diligence related activities and workflow.
  • Supporting the Head of Development and Standards with innovation in project Development.

What we require

  • Educational background in Engineering, Science, Environmental Related Disciplines, or Renewables Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Project, SharePoint and Microsoft Project Web Application (PWA).
  • Proficient with MS Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.
  • An efficient and organised approach to working, task prioritisation and time management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team, coordinate and enthuse colleagues and consultants
  • Strong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain sight of the “big picture” and overarching objectives at all times
  • Advanced written English at a minimum
  • International travel to Mainstream regional offices may be required from time to time
