This role in a nutshell
As a Product Manager in the Beyond team, you’ll shape the future of the proposition: creating seamless, app-first customer experiences and building the platforms and capabilities that make them possible. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, analysts, and key stakeholders (including propositions and commercial teams) to deliver innovative ideas in the app. Your work will be guided by customer insights, data, and a cycle of experimentation and iteration.
You’ll be joining a fast-moving, bold thinking, delivery-focused team that strives for speedy, well executed progress.
Your key outcomes will be
- Own the product roadmap throughout the lifecycle, working closely with the Product Lead.
- Put customers at the heart of every decision.
- Use data and insight to create hypotheses and test solutions that solve real customer and industry challenges.
- Define clear measures of success that link to business and customer outcomes.
- Bring a can-do, solution-focused mindset that energises teams and sets new standards for customer-first energy experiences.
- Drive rapid progress by identifying the thinnest slice to test and learn quickly.
- Translate requirements into clear, actionable JIRA tickets (inc, user stories and ACs)
- Leverage app engagement data, research, customer contact, and feedback to gather insight and inform decisions.
- Prioritise initiatives that maximise Beyond’s OKR success, and find ways of articulating the priorities to your squad and the wider business.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – including legal, marketing, and propositions – to shape products that enhance customer experience.
- Run discovery sessions to identify opportunities and shape innovative solutions.
- Champion your product inside and outside your squad, inspiring others about its role and potential.
You’ll be a successful Product Manager at OVO if you…
- Have a track record of delivering strong results as a product manager.
- Are customer-obsessed, with a knack for creating solutions people love and find intuitive.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to change.
- Understand software development and agile ways of working (inc, JIRA proficiency)
- You have strong analytical skills, able to cut through opinions with data
- Have experience with customer retention and relevant commercial/customer metrics.
- Are familiar with optimisation tools and A/B testing.
- Know what good app-first customer experiences look like.
- Can prioritise effectively and communicate decisions clearly.
- Have worked with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver end-to-end initiatives.
- (Bonus) Have experience in energy or another highly regulated industry.
- Thrive with autonomy and accountability, delivering value quickly.
- Enjoy sharing knowledge and learning from others.
- Are proactive, bold, and fast-moving in your approach.

We’ll pay you between £55,660 - £73,480, depending on your specific skills and experience.
We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.
You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.

We'll give you 9% Flex Pay on top of your salary – 4% of this is auto enrolled into your pension, and the remaining 5% is yours to do what you like with.
