A new opportunity has become available for a Senior Project Manager to join our Engineering & Projects division at AGL Loy Yang.

Reporting to the Manager, Projects & Strategy, you will be responsible for the direct management of high risk & high value projects, management of the Loy Yang Fleet Maintenance Contract (among others) and leadership of a team of Project Managers focused on a variety of projects and fleet management tasks. This role will work in close collaboration with representatives from Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments in delivering project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the entire project/program lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases.
• Develop comprehensive project/program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to efficiently manage project/program constraints and mitigate potential risks.
• Build and guide cross-functional teams, distributing tasks and responsibilities, and facilitating transparent communication and cooperation among team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project/program objectives, scope, and requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
• Knowledge of the OH&S Act and management of compliance to statutory requirements.
• Conducting safety audits, report findings, and implement recommendations emanating from Project scheduling activities.
• Minimise technical risks and hazards that may affect the environment.
• Model AGL's values in all internal and external dealings.

About You

You are an experienced Project Manager ideally with a background managing complex and sensitive consultations, negotiations, and partnership arrangements. Your understanding of regulatory environments and your ability to build & lead successful teams will ensure your success in this role.

In addition to the above you will have:

• Clear overall vision through planning, managing performance, motivating people
• An understanding of financial and risk management principles.
• Proven strong business acumen.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Effective project and contract management skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Project Management are highly regarded.
