Tackling the world's most complex energy challenges requires diverse thinking. We're building teams of people from different backgrounds, industries, and disciplines - united by a belief that energy management should be simple, intelligent, and a genuine driver of business value.
What we're looking for
We are seeking a highly collaborative, forward-thinking Software Engineer to join the Engineering team & develop delightful new features and experiences for both our external users (customers) and internal users (employees). In addition to possessing extensive knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Data Structures, CSS, and React, the right candidate is a low-ego team player who approaches engineering problems & potential solutions with a unique, holistic, and long-term perspective, and is genuinely excited to build the software expanding renewable energy access to millions of households across the country.
This role is based out of Santiago, Chile with a hybrid remote first approach and is an exceptional opportunity for someone who relishes the chance to engage with cutting-edge technology, influence how our team builds and stays relevant, and work in a fast-paced environment with engineers on a high-morale, tightly knit team. Our engineering values are deeply ingrained in our culture-- you can read more about them here.
What you'll do
Design, build, and ship backend services and APIs (C#/.NET, REST) that power Expense Management:
Build responsive, accessible frontend features in React/TypeScript that give operations teams clear visibility into the bill processing flow.
Model and optimize data in SQL (Azure SQL/SQL Server), writing efficient queries and migrations that stay correct as bill volume grows.
Build reliable, event-driven integrations using messaging (Service Bus/Event Grid) and idempotent processing, so a bill is never lost, duplicated, or paid twice.
Own features end to end, from refinement and design through release and production support, within a regular release cadence.
Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines so changes ship safely.
Instrument services with logging, metrics, and alerts, and troubleshoot production issues with a focus on root cause.
Contribute to the migration of legacy components onto our consolidated platform, keeping customer-facing behavior stable.
Run code reviews, share design feedback, and mentor more junior engineers to raise the team's quality bar.
Work daily with product, QA, and US-based engineers across time zones, communicating clearly in English (written and spoken) and flagging risks early.
