This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our technician workforce—developing talent from entry-level through leadership, while aligning with safety, operational, and strategic goals.

You’ll be at the forefront of building a world-class technical training program that directly impacts safety, efficiency, and employee growth as a key decision-maker. If you’re passionate about developing people, driving innovation, and building scalable systems - this is your opportunity to lead transformation at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

Program Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the overhaul of our technical training program, including governance, delivery methods, and assessment standards.
  • Chair and coordinate the Training Committee and subcommittees to ensure alignment with operational strategy.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Job Qualification Standards (JQS) across all technician levels.

Curriculum & Content Development

  • Collaborate with internal SMEs and external vendors to build and maintain training content tailored to each technology.
  • Ensure all training materials meet regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
  • Develop and maintain robust assessment tools including advancement exams, oral boards, and aptitude testing.

Training Delivery & Infrastructure

  • Manage the deployment of training via Computer Based Training (CBT), Instructor Lead Training (ILT), On-the-Job Training (OJT), and formal certifications.
  • Oversee LMS administration (e.g., SuccessFactors) and progress tracking systems.
  • Evaluate and implement hybrid training models (in-house, outsourced, or blended).

Talent Development

  • Own the Technician Trainee journey and advancement pathways through Technician 3 and Lead Technician roles.
  • Partner with HR and site leadership to align hiring, onboarding, and training standards.
  • Support leadership and performance management training for supervisory roles.

Operational Integration

  • Align training initiatives with Renewable Performance Monitoring Center (RPMC) development, Job Performance Measures (JPM), Job Task Analysis (JTA), Difficulty-Importance-Frequency (DIF) analysis, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with Plant Managers, Regional Managers, and Safety Reps to ensure effective rollout and feedback loops.
  • Monitor KPIs including ROI, retention, safety incidents, and technician proficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in technical training, operations, or workforce development in energy or industrial sectors.
  • Proven success designing and implementing training programs across multiple technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of LMS platforms and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, safety standards, and technical certifications.
  • Understanding of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
