Project Cost Controller - Offshore Wind

For our Department Offshore Windfarms situated in Hoboken (Antwerp) and part of the Division International Operations, we are looking for a Project Cost Controller.

The job?

• you will be the expert advisor of the PM in establishing the project budget and monitoring its adherence (incl. actuals & forecasting, reporting, change management, etc)
• projects include feasibility studies (FEL2), FEED/Basic Engineering, and LSTK/EPCC with subsequent warranty activities
• you will develop the project cost control strategy, reflecting client, contractor and subcontractor roles & responsibilities, and you will continuously analyze and improve processes and workflows
• you monitor own, as well as subcontractor performance in terms of productivity, earned value, modification requests and you perform reviews and audits of subcontractors cost control procedures and practices
• for tenders, you support the creation of the tender bid for the potential project and you contribute to the tender process with your experience and knowledge
• you maintain interfaces with corporate functions (e.g. business controlling), key stakeholders and key departments (e.g. procurement, JV)
• you organize an efficient and effective administration for the project, including KPIs, budgets, information systems, invoicing, reporting, etc.
• you are responsible for setting the cost breakdown structure in line with the contract and projects related activities of the Offshore Windfarms Substation Division
• you support ad-hoc requests, such as benchmarking efforts, reporting systems

• technical engineering degree with a strong affinity for figures or financial degree with strong affinity for the technical and industrial sector
• you have a first experience in managing and coordinating technical projects
• you are triggered by close and accurate monitoring of financial data and project progress
• you have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• ability to manage many interfaces, to see & understand the big picture, and to integrate different functions
• you are a team player, have a practical and pro-active approach, and are service minded
• fluent English proficiency; Dutch & French would be assets
