(Senior) Advisory Associate - DACH

Joining the Advisory team for DACH in our Berlin office, you will be able to shape client’s decisions and accelerate the energy transition. As (Senior) Associate, you will play an active role in project delivery, business development, and knowledge building. The role will allow you to interact frequently with our clients, develop a quantitative kill set, and represent Aurora at external events.

The successful applicant combines a strong interest in energy markets and policy, a passion for energy transition topics, performance in team-oriented environments, and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

As (Senior) Associate in the Berlin Office, you will be responsible for:

• Working closely with our modelling team, structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from the model results;
• Engaging with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements to tailor our proposals, methods and deliverables;
• Day-to-day management of our project delivery coordinating between Analysts and Project Leaders;
• Contributing to Aurora’s product and business development, by identifying and addressing new project opportunities and expanding our capabilities;
• Building and developing deep knowledge and expertise in energy market economics, drivers of business cases and energy transition topics.

What we are looking for

Required attributes:

• You have a minimum of three (four for senior) years experience in the energy sector at a consultancy or stakeholder in the energy industry (utility, developer, fund, bank, government, think tank);
• You want to use your experience in energy topics to make real and tangible impacts that influence the complex decisions our clients need to make;
• You enjoy coordinating projects with a focus on quantitative analysis and your project management skills will allow you to plan them independently;
• You have first-hand experience in winning new projects through writing compelling proposals in response to client requests;
• You speak English fluently (C1+) and advanced German (B2+).
