Charge Robotics is a Series A startup building robots that build solar farms.
Demand for new solar projects is booming (1 ⁄ 5 of all the solar that exists in the US was installed last year!), but today's construction companies can't keep up due to limited labor resources.
We thought this was insane, so we started working on robots to directly address this bottleneck and speed up the world's transition to renewables.
Charge is a fast-moving company, which means constant opportunities for learning and growth. You'll have a large impact on the direction of our company, and will be compensated accordingly.
We're MIT-founded and backed by top generalist and climate tech investors, including Energy Impact Partners, Founders Fund, Lux Capital, and Y Combinator (S21).
If you are excited to work on interesting problems with direct climate impact, you're going to fit right in! Read more about Charge here:

What you'll be working on
- Tackling an inventory mapping project to create a comprehensive system connecting our digital records with physical stock locations across the shop and warehouse

- Implementing 5S principles to strategize and plan out our workshop: equipment, tools, and hardware
- Coordinating the downstream physical and digital management of inventory
- Organizing and maintaining the workshop for efficiency and safety, building out safety protocols and addressing OSHA compliance
- Coordinating with the engineering, technician, and supply chain teams to maintain stock of tools, hardware, and equipment
You
- Have at least 2+ years of relevant experience as an inventory manager or shop lead who managed inventory systems
- Have experience documenting and organizing inventory for mechanical, industrial, or electrical equipment
- Have demonstrated experience implementing or working with inventory management systems, ideally including MES or similar manufacturing software
- Are highly organized, with strong attention to detail in managing inventory and workspace
- Have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and enjoy working on a small team
- Are forklift and/or telehandler certified
- Are based in or can relocate to the SF Bay Area, and able to work 5 days/week from our San Leandro HQ
It'd also be nice if you
- Have experience with shipping/receiving operations
- Have supply chain coordination experience
- Have used ION manufacturing software or similar MES platforms before
- Have worked at a fast-paced startup before, and enjoyed it
- Have implemented barcode, RFID, or other tracking systems for physical inventory
Compensation Range: $80K - $110K
