Within BayWa r.e.'s Operations Business, we maintain and operate an asset fleet of more than 10GW of Wind & PV installations globally. We service these assets with 800+ technical and commercial colleagues, organized in local country organizations in our different markets. Our focus is to optimize the performance and longevity of each asset while ensuring the safety of our people, for both our internal and external customers.

Within Operations Business Segment, BayWa r.e. Data Services GmbH is expanding its offerings in the fields of data acquisition, SCADA services, 24/7 monitoring and data utilization as a foundation for safe operations and optimized asset performance, as well as for providing employees and customers with the best data base for adopting digital solutions.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Control Room Operator - Renewable Energies (m/f/d) to join our team in Munich. Due to the operational requirements of this position, this position requires flexibility to work shifts as required by the business, with an additional allowance provided for shift work. As Control Room Operator - Renewable Energies (m/f/d), you will play a key role in overseeing the remote monitoring and control of wind, solar and battery plants using our state-of-the-art operations management software. You will handle both national and international service calls, address technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and health standards. Your focus will be on maintaining optimal operational conditions, analyzing malfunctions, and documenting plant life histories. In collaboration with our international team, you will drive high operational performance and continuously implement quality standards and process improvements in the BayWa r.e. Control Center.

This is a fixed-term contract for one year, with the possibility of renewal depending on operational needs.

What you will do

• You will be responsible for the remote monitoring and control of the operating state of wind, solar and battery plants by means of our operations management software.
• You will answer national and international service calls, record the issues involved, monitor the compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, and find appropriate solutions based on our work processes.
• You will ensure optimal operational conditions of wind, solar and battery plants, analyze malfunctions and carry out error statistics.
• You will document the plant life history in detail and maintain our logbook.
• You will work closely with international colleagues to assure a high level of operational performance under highest safety standards of the BayWa r.e. Control Center.
• You will implement and ensure quality standards, work procedures and improvement processes.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of working in a Control Centre environment or working with SCADA systems within power generation.
• Knowledge of Wind Turbine safety rules and safe systems of work.
• Fully IT literate.
• The ability to work with multiple systems and processes.
• The ability to remain calm and apply logical and structured thinking and actions in high pressure situations.
• A strong team player with excellent collaboration skills, who can effectively work with colleagues to achieve common goals and promote a positive work environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Fluency in German and English is required; additional language skills in French and Spanish are considered a strong asset.
