Job Description
Would you like an exciting career with a high degree of development and responsibilities? Does it motivate you to be on the frontline of the renewable energy business? And would it motivate you to work with conceptual and detailed design of SCADA systems designed for transmission interfaces and HV infrastructure safety & protection systems? Then perhaps you are our new member in the Electrical Engineering team.
You will be part of our Electrical Engineering team within the EPC department, which manages all Electrical Engineering activities within our Danish building program and acts as technical advisor for our international building programs, however with a growing ownership of detailed engineering. The team's main responsibilities are to design our electrical infrastructure from Point Of Connection through sub- and transformer station to LV distribution networks including Power Plant Control and SCADA. We navigate between inhouse design, subcontractors design including multi-contracting approach where sub-contractor management are a big part of the daily routines.
As Electrical and SCADA engineer you will be part of the EPC team where you in close corporation with procurements, structural and design teams support and safeguard our projects through innovative design, studies and models etc. and further on a regular basis report back to our project teams by use of company-based Project Life Cycle (PLC) software and meetings. With focus on SCADA you will manage, design and supervise SCADA applications across our projects both in Denmark and aboard where you will have direct or in-direct dialog with DSO and TSO.
You will be responsible for serval tasks on multiple projects and be accountable for the completion of electrical activities on a selection of projects with support from team members.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Design concepts, specifications, control concepts, communication and single line diagrams.
- Overall SCADA management with focus on interfaces between Power Plant Controller, Master & Hybrid controllers and Utility Compagnies/Grid Operators IT and SCADA applications.
- Planning for future strategies with hybrid controllers including trading capabilities together with selected stakeholders across European Energy group.
- General electrical engineering within HV/MV and LV systems.
- Commissioning and FON tests towards DSO and TSO.
- Exploring regulative standards in order to optimize designs and solutions.
- Detailed engineering documentation or verification depending on EPC architecture.
- Managing the corporation with suppliers in respect of coordinating of interfaces and final design.
- Participate in negotiations with sub-suppliers, consultants, and Utility Compagnies/Grid Operators.
- Specify and follow up on documentation from suppliers including final project documentation.
- Follow up on time schedule from suppliers in according to project schedule.
- FAT and SAT of application software at the suppliers' facilities, online or at site.
- In-depth engineering support to our asset management teams including site support and trouble shooting.
Professional Skills We Expect From You
- several years' experience within the area of automation and SCADA for HV, MV & LV Systems on power generating facilities, and further we expect a practical and theocratical background.
- several years' experience within general electrical engineering and design power infrastructure projects.
- High focus on quality and deadlines.
- Educational background as Electrical SCADA or Power Engineer.
- Good cooperation skills.
- Technical understanding and experience within solar projects are an advantage
- English at a professional level is a requirement
- Danish language proficiency is an advantage
