Job Description

To fully unlock the potential of this opportunity, Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform. We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world. Our team is a blend of solar-industry veterans and newbies, thought-leaders, dreamers, software, electrical and mechanical engineers, coders, product managers, project managers, and sales and marketing professionals. About the Role

Terabase is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our product development team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, this role will collaborate closely with our R&D team to build complex assemblies and support facility maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate thrives in Terabase's high-growth, innovative, and values-driven environment. Success in this role requires strong adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, analytical thinking, and proactive collaboration. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while contributing to continuous improvement and technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of a fully functional manufacturing facility for Field Operations.
  • Understand facility electrical systems and perform troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
  • Execute factory build processes using hand and power tools, cranes, wiring systems, and schematics.
  • Operate various types of forklifts and follow established safety and operational procedures.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation to support builds and installations.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing crew training programs, including training materials and manuals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to support product development and deployment.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license (any U.S. state).
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the industrial automation field.
  • Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide to support project assignments.
  • Extensive hands-on construction experience with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and concepts.
  • Experience operating standard construction equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to drive technical decisions.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability and willingness to deploy to solar project sites nationwide for field installations and trials.
  • Basic knowledge of control systems is a plus (training provided for the right candidate).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of design, functionality, and installation within a fast-paced assembly line environment.

Benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The expected hourly range for this role is $40-55/hr. DOE.
