Job Description
Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for Project Manager - NERC Compliance within the Energy Solutions Department. This role will focus on managing our NERC Compliance service offerings. The individual will report directly to a Project Manager leader in Energy Solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth, leadership, and business development.
What You'll Do
- Manages resources for NERC Compliance scopes.
- Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the NERC Compliance scope, appropriate scope/fee for NERC Compliance deliverables for the proposal.
- Manage resourcing for NERC Compliance deliverables.
- Set up and lead kick-off meetings for NERC Compliance scope with internal technical resources.
- Set up and lead regular meetings with external client to manage NERC Compliance scope.
- Lead transition from project design deliverables to NERC Compliance deliverables.
- Attend internal and external project calls to support technical discussions.
- Set up a schedule for NERC Compliance deliverables, continue to communicate and update with customer and internal resources.
- Set up an initial Request for Information (RFI) and ensure that technical resources are updating accordingly and continue to manage them with the client as well as internal resources.
- Ensure that internal resources are staying on schedule and that clients are providing information on time so deadlines can be met.
- Attend potential customer meetings and speak to NERC Compliance services that Ulteig offers.
- Track comments received from customers and responses from internal resources.
- Track evolving NERC Compliance standards and advise on how it affects Ulteig deliverables and clients' projects.
- Ensure that the Quality Check process is followed and that proper PE reviews are conducted.
- Drive proactive conversations about change orders, budgets, and project delays, etc.
- Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities.
What We Expect from You
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
- Must have direct, hands-on experience managing projects that include NERC Compliance activities.
- Some exposure/knowledge of power system modeling tools (PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF), substation protection, and renewables is a plus.
- Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude.
- Strong industry knowledge.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and external clients.
- High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and highly responsive, internally and externally.
- Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
- Displays a high level of initiative and explores new opportunities while understanding the risk to the organization.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and additional software knowledge depending on specialty.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $108,000-$146,000
Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
