We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Engineer to join our Global Business Application Team. This role operates at the level of a solution architect but with a specialized focus on SAP integration scenarios, requiring a strong technical background and expertise in connecting complex systems.

As an SAP Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying the most suitable SAP integration strategies, ensuring optimal use of all involved components and existing systems. You will collaborate closely with multiple teams and departments to discuss ideas, evaluate alternatives, design target solutions, and introduce new technologies and processes that enhance integration capabilities.

What you will do to help drive energy transition

• You are responsible for the further development of the Middleware SAP Integration Suite.
• You establish technical integration standards and oversee the associated development and maintenance processes in collaboration with the SAP Solution Architect and Enterprise Architecture Team.
• You hold architectural responsibility for the content-specific aspects of the interfaces for various systems to be integrated.
• You design solution architectures for cross-system business processes together with the Solution Architects.
• You translate business requirements into technical integration solutions based on SAP Cloud Integration and API Management.
• Hands-on development of prototypes and conducting Proof of Concepts, including implementation/testing/rollout of interfaces, is part of your daily routine.
• Error monitoring and system support are part of your work.
• You advise business departments on IT solutions and are the point of contact for IT providers regarding implementation questions.

What you will need for that journey

• You already have experience in complex and heterogeneous integration architectures.
• Independent, structured working style and a hands-on mentality with high-quality standards are natural to you.
• You also have a good understanding of RESTful APIs, iDocs, SOAP, OAuth, and other web service protocols.
• Confident handling of SQL, XML, XPath, XSLT, XSD, WSDL, JSON, and mapping knowledge in XSL, Groovy Script, or JavaScript is advantageous.
• Ideally, you already have experience with integration concepts based on the SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with business processes related to SAP S4/HANA is part of your portfolio.
• You are familiar with coordinating service providers and designing administration and development processes.
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
