How we write our sector guides
Alleen in het Engels gepubliceerd.
Rejobs publishes a guide for every sector it lists jobs in, from solar and wind to grids and fusion. This page explains who the guides are for, how we put them together and how to tell us when we get something wrong, or when we present outdated information.
Who the guides are for
People looking for work in renewable and clean energy: those already in the sector who want to move, people coming from oil and gas, construction or IT, and students deciding where to start. Each guide answers what a job seeker needs to know: what the work is, who hires, what it pays, what the conditions are like and which qualifications count.
One guide per market
Each language version is written for its own readers, not translated from English. The Czech guide to energy storage names Czech employers, quotes salaries in CZK and describes Czech training routes; the German guide does the same for Germany. Figures that hold everywhere, such as global employment, are then shared between versions.
Where the facts come from
We start from IRENA reports, the IEA materials, national statistics offices and energy agencies, industry associations, and then work through employer websites, through their annual reports, job adverts and published pay ranges.
Updates
Sectors change quickly, so the guides are revised regularly. The date at the top of each guide is the last time its text was changed and checked.
