Job Description

Arevon is recruiting for the position of Analyst, Contracts Management. This role is intended for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is ready to build foundational commercial contracting skills in a fast-paced renewable energy environment. The successful candidate will support the full contract lifecycle by assisting with drafting, redlining, organizing, version control, stakeholder follow-up, approvals, execution support, and post-execution documentation under the guidance of a Manager or Senior Manager, Contracts Management.

Key Responsibilities

The Analyst, Contracts Management is a supporting member of Arevon's Contracts Management Department responsible for assisting with commercial contracting matters across utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. This role requires disciplined follow-through, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to support time-sensitive contracting work from intake through execution. The Analyst will assist with contract lifecycle activities, including intake, scoping, drafting, redline control, stakeholder follow-up, approvals, execution, and post-execution documentation, while coordinating with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Construction, Tax, Risk, Insurance, Asset Management, and external counterparties as directed. Additionally, the Analyst, Contracts Management will be responsible for:

Contract Drafting, Execution Support & Workstream Coordination

  • Support commercial contracting activities for agreements related to the development, construction, and operation of PV and energy storage projects, including EPC agreements, O&M agreements, equipment supply agreements, master terms, amendments, change orders, and related commercial instruments.
  • Assist with negotiation preparation for assigned matters, including issue tracking, redline summaries, fallback position documentation, approval status, risk notes, and recommendations for Manager or Senior Manager review.
  • Draft, redline, compare, and reconcile routine contract documents and comments with accuracy, translating business, technical, financial, insurance, risk, tax, and project delivery inputs into clear contract revisions under appropriate guidance.
  • Coordinate stakeholder inputs and approval follow-up by working across Legal, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Construction, Tax, Risk, Insurance, Development, Asset Management, and other stakeholders as directed.
  • Help drive assigned agreements forward by organizing inputs, chasing outstanding comments, reconciling stakeholder feedback, maintaining status trackers, and supporting timely completion of open items.
  • Support updates to contract templates, forms, checklists, trackers, and approval tools that improve consistency, speed, governance, and auditability across assigned Contracts Management workstreams.

Contract Governance, Redline Oversight & Document Management

  • Apply and reinforce disciplined redline, version control, approval, and document retention practices across assigned contracts and workstreams.
  • Maintain and review contract records for agreements, amendments, warranties, insurance certificates, notices, deliverables, and related documentation to support a complete, accurate, and auditable contract history.
  • Review counterparty redlines and internal comments, identify apparent negotiation issues and alignment gaps, and escalate business risk, legal risk, technical risk, schedule risk, financing risk, tax risk, and insurance risk for guidance as appropriate.
  • Maintain disciplined redline control and agreement hygiene, including clean comparisons, issue lists, decision logs, signature readiness, approval evidence, and post-execution obligation tracking.
  • Support department standards for traceability, contract administration, knowledge management, and single-source-of-truth documentation.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a supporting commercial contracts contact for assigned matters with internal stakeholders and external counterparties as directed, helping facilitate document exchange, follow-up, issue tracking, and efficient negotiation support.
  • Prepare concise summaries for internal stakeholders and Contracts Management leadership regarding contract status, open issues, approval needs, and risk items requiring review.
  • Resolve routine process, documentation, and follow-up items where appropriate, and escalate substantive contract or commercial issues with clear context, options, and requested guidance.
  • Capture lessons learned from projects, counterparties, and internal business partners and help translate those lessons into improved contract language, trackers, checklists, and department procedures.
  • Support financing, diligence, and contract review requests by preparing accurate summaries of key terms, obligations, risk mitigants, and deal protections for leadership review.

Department Operations, Process Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support department initiatives to improve contract lifecycle management, reporting, compliance tracking, approvals, handoffs, and post-execution administration.
  • Support contracting workflows, SOPs, checklists, metrics, and controls for assigned areas that promote quality, accountability, auditability, and on-time execution.
  • Share knowledge and lessons learned with team members to support consistent drafting quality, risk assessment, negotiation preparation, and process discipline.
  • Support assigned post-execution contract priorities, including key obligations, renewals, expirations, notices, change management, closeout requirements, and lessons learned, escalating material issues as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of contracts management experience, including experience or demonstrated interest in contract drafting, redlining, contract administration, document control, approval routing, procurement contracting, or related commercial support.
  • 0-1 year of renewable energy experience preferred but not required, particularly experience or exposure supporting utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, construction, procurement, EPC, O&M, equipment supply, or related commercial contracting matters.
  • Hands-on experience supporting contract matters beyond document routing, including drafting, redlining, organizing, reconciling comments, chasing inputs, maintaining trackers, and helping drive agreements toward execution.
  • Ability to describe how prior work, coursework, internship experience, or related administrative support helped support commercial outcomes, stakeholder alignment, accurate documentation, or timely completion of assigned matters.
  • Interest in EPC contracting, project delivery models, and how commercial terms impact construction execution, change management, schedule certainty, cost exposure, performance obligations, warranty recovery, financing diligence, and project closeout outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to help translate project, counterparty, and stakeholder needs into practical contracting tools, including templates, trackers, approval checklists, issue logs, and decision records.
  • Strong communication and follow-through skills; able to build rapport, manage open items, coordinate competing inputs, and support internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and external counterparties in reaching timely agreements.
  • Proficiency in contract drafting, redlining, version control, document comparison, and maintaining a clear decision record through Microsoft Word and related contract management tools.
  • Ability to review and support revisions to contract language with attention to nuance, intent, risk allocation, operational impacts, and business implications, escalating questions when appropriate.
  • Collaborative, outcomes-focused professional able to support cross-functional stakeholders, track assigned decisions, and deliver results with guidance from a Manager or Senior Manager.
  • Experience supporting or improving contracting processes, templates, playbooks, SOPs, reporting practices, or compliance controls that improve consistency, auditability, speed, and quality across commercial contract workstreams.
  • AI curiosity and eagerness to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve contracting efficiency, drafting quality, redline review, knowledge management, reporting, and legal or commercial workflow discipline.
  • Self-starter with sound judgment, humility, urgency, attention to detail, and follow-through; able to prioritize competing tasks, communicate status clearly, and escalate issues with context and a recommended next step.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diverse, equitable, and inclusive collaboration across internal stakeholders, external counterparties, and project partners.
  • Working knowledge of procurement and contracting organizations, including supplier engagement, contract records, cross-functional approvals, and the role of contracting in broader business execution.
