Your Tasks
- You take ownership of the system-level requirement specification for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and continuously develop it further.
- You are responsible for building and refining the system-level test specification for BESS, ensuring it meets evolving technical and operational needs.
- You integrate BESS power units seamlessly into the hybrid control power plant, covering the full scope of system functionality.
- You lead the qualification process using Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) methods - from concept and product development across all PDP stages to series optimization.
- You steer external BESS suppliers with technical authority and ensure alignment with system requirements and project goals.
- You actively scout emerging technologies relevant to BESS and evaluate their potential for future integration.
Your Qualifications
- You hold a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
- You bring in-depth experience with industrial BESS systems and/or power converters; knowledge of grid-following, grid-supporting, or grid-forming functionalities is a plus.
- You are well-versed in requirements engineering, test specification development, and the V-model approach including verification and validation.
- You work confidently with model-based development tools such as Matlab/Simulink, ideally including System Composer.
- You think in systems, recognize modularization potential, and approach complexity with clarity and structure.
- You demonstrate lateral leadership and make sound decisions, even in dynamic environments.
- You have a strong track record in managing suppliers and driving technical collaboration.
- You communicate and present effectively in English, both in writing and speaking.
