At ACCURE, we empower batteries and those who use them. Batteries are a key element of our clean energy and mobility future. ACCURE makes batteries safe, reliable, and sustainable through the power of the cloud. Using our highly scalable monitoring and optimization platform, we drastically improve the performance of batteries in electric vehicles and grid storage systems around the world.

Our mission: Safe and sustainable batteries for a clean energy future.

To do this, we need passionate builders and storytellers. At ACCURE, people with diverse backgrounds work together on our common vision of a clean energy future. We value passion and humbleness and are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our fast-growing international team.

Your Role

  • Own and evolve ACCURE's cloud infrastructure: Take responsibility for the design, operation, and evolution of our AWS- and Kubernetes-based platform to ensure reliability, scalability, and security at every layer.
  • Kubernetes Administration: Manage and fine-tune Kubernetes clusters (preferably AWS EKS), Karpenter scaling, and Kubernetes operators. Drive operational excellence across containerised workloads.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code: Manage infrastructure lifecycle using IaC Tools (preferably Pulumi), promoting consistent, modular, and automated deployments.
  • Drive GitOps workflows: Operate and evolve GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD, ensuring predictable and automated delivery processes.
  • Develop and maintain backend services: Build and extend core backend applications and services in Python (preferably Django) with a focus on testing, maintainability, observability, and quality.
  • Architect and design cloud systems: Shape and develop robust, event-driven, and API-based software architectures that meet performance and security standards.
  • Enable monitoring and observability: Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, and Opensearch to improve observability.
  • Collaborate strategically: Work cross-functionally with the Platform, Battery Analytics, and Customer Success teams to align on architectural evolution, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Hands-on ownership: Be an active contributor who enjoys diving into automation, debugging complex systems, and continuously improving reliability and performance.

Your Skills

  • DevOps mindset: Proven experience in cloud-native operations, automation, CI/CD, and observability. You build systems that are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Kubernetes excellence: Deep experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters (preferably EKS), including custom operator configurations.
  • Cloud fluency: Strong understanding of AWS services (EKS, ECR, S3, SNS, SQS, EC2, IAM, etc.) and cloud-native design principles.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Solid hands-on experience with Pulumi or similar IaC tools.
  • GitOps proficiency: Experienced with ArgoCD for automated, auditable deployments.
  • Version control: Comfortable working with GitLab for code versioning, reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Backend development: Strong Python skills with experience in Django or similar frameworks. You understand code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Architectural mindset: You think in systems, APIs, and processes - designing solutions that balance scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Monitoring and logging: Comfortable with Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, and Opensearch to ensure observability across distributed environments.
  • Documentation and communication: You create clear, structured documentation and communicate proactively across teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Hands-on problem solver: You like building, fixing, and optimising things yourself - not just designing from afar.
  • Language skills: Fluent English required.

Our Offer

  • Impact: Join a collaborative, growing start-up environment in a role that has a significant impact on all levels of our organization.
  • Shape your role: Actively shape this role and its scope with us, depending on your expertise and preferences.
  • Work-life-balance: Trust-based, flexible working hours, 30-day vacation entitlement.
  • Carnival: We love carnival. That's why we're giving you Rose Monday as an extra day of holiday. ALAAF!
  • Compensation: Performance-based compensation plan.
  • Remote or office based: It's your choice - either work from our lovely office in Aachen, choose a co-working space wherever you live or work from home (somewhere in Europe).
  • Company events: Two 5-day company onsites per year
  • Never stop learning: Personal development plan and budget that you can actively shape.
  • A job that shapes the future and turns our planet greener one battery at a time.

At ACCURE, we're committed to cultivating an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion. We believe our unique qualities must be celebrated as they are critical to our innovation. It's essential to us that you bring your authentic self to work every single day, no matter your age, ethnicity, religion, citizenship, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, neurodiversity, or otherwise.
