Job Description

Our Customer Business provides energy to millions of households and businesses across the UK. At ScottishPower (SP) we want to do the right thing for our customers. We offer products that help our customers control and protect the energy in their homes and the flexibility to help customers manage their energy accounts today, tomorrow and in the future.

Purpose

You'll play a key role in system integration across SP's technical landscape using a multitude of information exchange mechanisms. Driving our roadmap of improvements to help deliver the best possible experience to our customers. Working on specific projects critical to ScottishPower's needs and with opportunities to switch teams and areas of focus.

You'll act as the bridge between the business stakeholders and the software developers, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, understood, and successfully delivered. You will have hands-on technical experience and be comfortable getting your hands on the system. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, who are using cutting edge technology to solve real business problems.

What you'll be doing

  • Document existing business processes and workflows and translate business requirements into functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and testers to drive forward system and process improvements
  • Provide robust and innovative solutions to meet the fast-moving needs of the business
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and priorities

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to explain complex problems
  • Eager to learn and share knowledge across diverse teams.
  • Positive thinking and creativity
  • Expert in information data exchange processes within SAP
  • Expert information transfer between ScottishPower and key Partners
  • Expert within the Utility Industry Data Transfer Network
  • Understanding of the UK industry registrations process
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Python

Preferred but not essential

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical field.
  • Knowledge of requirement gathering and process mapping
  • Experience of the full software delivery lifecycle including the use of Agile methodology
