Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer for Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable implementation, optimization, operation, and continuous improvement of our solar power plant monitoring and control systems. You will work both on-site at international project locations and at our workshop in Konstanz, supporting our customers with expert technical services and solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Installation and commissioning of monitoring and control systems for photovoltaic power plants
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and corrective interventions on PV monitoring systems
  • Execute system modernizations, upgrades, and conversions
  • Conduct error diagnostics and troubleshoot issues independently
  • Support project-related tasks in our Konstanz workshop
  • Deliver customer trainings on system use and best practices
  • Prepare clear and complete documentation of all activities performed

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Completed vocational training in an electrotechnical field
  • Additional certification as a technician or an academic degree is a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of monitoring and control systems photovoltaic monitoring and control systems is highly desirable
  • Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of networks is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 70%) and work across diverse cultures
  • Strong independence, ownership mentality, and effective communication skills
  • A structured, analytical approach to understanding complex technical processes
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and document tasks autonomously
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm for renewable energy technologies
